Our Story


Despite being a consistently good student academically, I found myself overwhelmed by intense anxiety around exam time . During exams, my heart raced, my mind went blank, and I couldn't perform to my potential. I felt embarrassed and didn't want to share my struggles, thinking it made me seem weak or unprepared or just be seen as someone making excuses. 

Not knowing what I was experiencing, I began researching to understand my symptoms and find ways to cope with them. 

The research that started as a curiosity to understand my own symptoms sucked me into the fascinating and complex world of mental health and academic performance. For almost a year, I dedicated every spare minute to read through research papers, scientific studies, and expert opinions. I explored various techniques – prescribed medically or socially, including breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, cognitive - behavioural strategies, self-hypnosis, music and pet therapy- name it and I had followed it! Besides this, I also started using productivity tools, all claiming to be effective ways to manage exam anxiety and enhance productivity and well-being.

This thorough and immersive research not only helped me tame my own nerves, regain some of the lost confidence (it’s still work in progress), but also inspired me to share these valuable insights with others. 

And so, StudyZen was born – an app designed to provide a one stop shop for all resources to keep students stay organised, manage their time, identify and combat anxiety and achieve to the best of their potential. Above all, it aims to let students study stress free !
